is not an inhabitant; a stranger; a foreigner; a
nonresident.


Non*in`ter*ven"tion (?), n. The
state or habit of not intervening or interfering; as, the
nonintervention of one state in the affairs of
another.

Nunez, the name of a Portuguese mathematician.] A
vernier.

The omission of some person who ought to have been made a
plaintiff or defendant in a suit, or of some cause of action which
ought to be joined.

Nonjuring.


Non*ju"ring (?), a. [F. jurer to
swear, or L. jurare, jurari, to swear, fr. L.
jus, juris, right, law, justice. See Jury.]
Not swearing allegiance; -- applied to the party in Great
Britain that would not swear allegiance to William and Mary, or their
successors.
