term still applied to the ruins of certain nunneries in
England.

myocardium.

||My`o*car"di*um (?), n. [NL., fr. Gr.
&?;, &?;, muscle + &?; heart.] (Anat.) The main substance
of the muscular wall of the heart inclosed between the epicardium and
endocardium.

My"o*chrome (?), n. [Myo- + Gr.
&?; color.] (Physiol.) A colored albuminous substance in
the serum from red-colored muscles. It is identical with
hemoglobin.
