A salt of muconic acid.

and somewhat resembling itaconic acid.

+ purulent.] (Med.) Having the character or
appearance of both mucus and pus. Dunglison.

to be moldy or musty.] (Bot.) A genus of minute fungi.
The plants consist of slender threads with terminal globular
sporangia; mold.

mucus mucus.] 1. Of, pertaining to, or
resembling, mucus; slimy, ropy, or stringy, and lubricous; as, a
mucous substance.

2. Secreting a slimy or mucigenous substance;
as, the mucous membrane.
