(Physiol.) Secreting, or producing, mucus or
mucin.


Mu"ci*vore (mū"s&ibreve;*vōr),
n. [L. mucus slime, mucus + vorare to
devour.] (Zoöl.) An insect which feeds on mucus, or
the sap of plants, as certain Diptera, of the tribe
Mucivora.
