which, mows; a mowing machine; as, a lawn mower.

Mow"ing, n. 1. The
act of one who, or the operation of that which, mows.

2. Land from which grass is cut; meadow
land.

Mowing machine, an agricultural machine
armed with knives or blades for cutting standing grass, etc. It is
drawn by a horse or horses, or propelled by steam.

Mown (?), p. p. & a. Cut down by
mowing, as grass; deprived of grass by mowing; as, a mown
field.

Mow"yer (?), n. A mower.
