n. [NL.] (Zoöl.) A genus of
Hydrocorallia, which includes the millipores.


Mil"le*pore (m&ibreve;l"l&esl;*pōr),
n. [L. mille thousand + porus pore:
cf. F. millépore.] (Zoöl.) Any coral
of the genus Millepora, having the surface nearly smooth, and
perforated with very minute unequal pores, or cells. The animals are
hydroids, not Anthozoa. See Hydrocorallia.


Mil"le*po*rite (?), n. (Paleon.)
A fossil millepore.


Mill"er (m&ibreve;l"&etilde;r), n.
1. One who keeps or attends a flour mill or
gristmill.


2. A milling machine.


3. (Zoöl.) (a) A
moth or lepidopterous insect; -- so called because the wings appear
as if covered with white dust or powder, like a miller's clothes.
