-- Mason wasp (Zoöl.),
any wasp that constructs its nest, or brood cells, of hardened
mud. The female fills the cells with insects or spiders, paralyzed by
a sting, and thus provides food for its larvæ

terrace; to mason in a kettle or boiler.

1. The art or occupation of a
mason.

good or bad masonry; skillful masonry.


3. That which is built by a mason; anything
constructed of the materials used by masons, such as stone, brick,
tiles, or the like. Dry masonry is applied to structures made
without mortar.


4. The craft, institution, or mysteries of
Freemasons; freemasonry.
